ABOUT US

CREATING THE SPACE WE NEEDED

Because womanhood beyond motherhood deserves its own circle!

Without the built-in networks of carpools, sports sidelines, or school events, making meaningful new friends in adulthood can feel challenging, especially when life doesn’t follow the traditional motherhood script.

Our Sister•Ship creates intimate, small-group travel experiences for women seeking meaningful connection with others walking a similar path.

These aren’t retreats or tours. They are intentional journeys designed to foster connection, celebrate your season of life, and create friendships that continue long after the trip ends.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

This community is for women without children - whether by choice, by circumstance, or something in between. You might identify as childfree, childless, or simply as a woman whose story doesn’t include children.

What matters isn’t the label you choose or the path that brought you here. What matters is that you’re ready to celebrate this stage of life, embrace the expansiveness that travel offers, and connect with other women walking similar journeys.

WHY THIS MATTERS?

In a culture that still centers motherhood as the defining story of womanhood, women without children often find their narratives marginalized, misunderstood, or missing altogether.

We're interested in writing a new narrative of womanhood beyond motherhood! One that honors the richness of every path and recognizes that gathering in celebration is a quiet and powerful act of rebellion against diminishing narratives.

Our Sister•Ship is more than just a trip.

IT’S A PLACE WHERE EVERY PATH IS VALID AND WORTHY.

WHERE COMMUNITY IS BUILT BY CHOICE, NOT BY DEFAULT.

WHERE JOY IS A FORM OF RECLAMATION AND A QUIET ACT OF REBELLION.

AND WHERE THE FRIENDSHIPS YOU FORGE CONTINUE TO DEEPEN BACK HOME.

WHAT WE WELCOME

REWRITING THE NARRATivES OF WOMANHOOD

SHARED EXPERIENCES THAT INVITE, BUT NEVER DEMAND CONNECTION

TRAVEL THAT NUDGES US OUT OF OUR COMFORT ZONE

What you won’t find

negativity or judgment that’s anti-motherhood, family, or children

Forced or instant intimacy

A Rigid Agenda with no room for your voice or spontaneity

Welcome, I’m Erin

a place womens’ stories are reflected

Our Sister•Ship began with a longing to see more spaces where women without children, especially in midlife, could see their stories reflected and celebrated.

As a therapist and someone who finds renewal through the novelty of new places, I chose travel because it offers what daily life often cannot. It creates space to set down obligations, step outside routine, and share meaningful experiences. Immersive travel provides the ideal conditions for friendship to grow - not through forced conversation, but through shared discovery, curiosity, and doing life side-by-side. This is the space I wish had existed.

Definition of sister ship with text describing it as a circle of connection among women and two identical vessels travelling together.

“I’ll never know and neither will you of the life you don’t choose. We’ll only know that whatever that sister life was, it was important and beautiful and not ours. It was the ghost ship that didn’t carry us. There’s nothing to do but salute it from the shore”.
