A local gathering for women without children
Join us for a free summer gathering by the Puget Sound a chance for women without children to relax, connect, and enjoy the view and savor some of summer’s magical moments.
We’re delighted to welcome Jill Mattern of Nature & Sound (@sound_to_mountain_yogi), who will lead us through a sound bowl meditation session. We’ll then ease into the late afternoon, by spreading out some blankets and having a casual picnic as a way to meet other women shaping the early Our Sister•Ship community and travel experiences.

About jill
Jill Mattern is a certified yoga and Pilates instructor, outdoor mindfulness guide, and sound meditation practitioner. After leaving a stable career to solo hike around Mt. Rainier, she began guiding others through nature-based practices that support clarity, connection, and inner strength.
She has led international workshops, facilitated sound and nature retreats, and teaches mindfulness to children throughout the Puget Sound region.
As someone who is also childless, Jill is honored to hold space for this first gathering. Her offering will include a nature meditation and grounding sound bath to support rest and reflection.
What is our Sister•Ship
Our Sister•Ship is a small-group travel community for women without children, rooted in shared adventure, meaningful connection, and belonging.
We create intimate, high-touch trips that are about more than travel; they’re about visibility and expanding the narrative of womanhood to celebrate the richness of life beyond the motherhood script.
Starting in the Seattle area, our vision is to grow city-based chapters using transformative travel that celebrates the freedom, flexibility, and creativity unique to this path while creating lasting networks local friendships at home.
